Art fundraiser set for Astoria

ASTORIA — Astoria Visual Arts will host a fundraiser the weekend of May 27.

The organization is requesting art supplies and equipment that is no longer used for its first “Artful Jumble,” where attendees can buy items to create new art.

Donations can be made between 4 to 7 p.m. May 22 and noon to 4 p.m. on May 23 at the gallery, 1000 Duane St. Gently used art items and equipment like books, frames, canvases, small tables and textiles are requested. To donate items outside of these hours, email astoriavisualarts@gmail.com.

The Artful Jumble will take place from noon to 4 p.m. May 27-May 31 and June 4-5. Astoria Visual Arts members will have early access to the sale and free items.
