ASTORIA – Old Town Framing Company presents the photographs of Skye McKey from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, for Astoria’s Second Saturday Art Walk.

McKey loves the beach. She goes almost every day, rain, shine, wind, snow and sun. With her dog, Noble, she explores the tides, the sand, the mysterious stuff on the beach. She takes her camera sometimes.

All black and white photography, this show presents a unique perspective of a person who spends a lot of time on the beach. She sees things that visitors don’t see. She sees things that the casual beach-goer would not see. Thirty years in the area, she sees the uniqueness of the town, the beach and her world.

“Skye loves to participate in our community,” said Dulcye Taylor, “doing theater, pool league, wrangling ABATE – so when she asked if she could share her latest perspectives on the beach and the world, we said, “YA! Her passion and perspective of her world is portrayed in these recent images she captured.”

Old Town Framing Company is located at 1287 Commercial St. and can be reached at (503) 325-5221, or log on to www.oldtownframing.com
