ASTORIA — Clatsop Animal Assistance holds its annual holiday party and fundraiser from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Fort George Brewery Lovell Showroom.

A virtual fundraiser began in October and runs through Jan. 1, 2024. The event will include a bake sale, pictures with Santa, raffles and a silent auction. This year’s featured raffle prize is a day with a Columbia River Bar Pilot.

Clatsop Animal Assistance supports veterinary care, food and other needs for dogs and cats at the Clatsop County Animal Shelter, as well as promotes animal adoption.

This year, the volunteer-run group has found homes for more than 230 cats and 120 dogs, including at adoption events such as the “Not So Westminster Dog Show.”
