Coastal Oregon Artist Residency accepting submissions

ASTORIA — Recology Western Oregon and Astoria Visual Arts have announced a call for artists to apply for the Coastal Oregon Artist Residency, a collaborative program focused on upcycled art.

Two selected artists will receive a stipend and studio space at Recology’s Warrenton facility during the four-month residency period, during which they will have access to create art using discarded materials from the Astoria Transfer Station.

Interested career-level artists should residents should reside in Clatsop, Columbia, Tillamook, Pacific or Wahkiakum counties.

Submissions will be accepted through April 30 and should include examples of artwork and an essay about one’s art practice.
