Most beaches in the Columbia-Pacific region are very dog-friendly – some even host special events for four-legged companions.

Some spots do require dogs to be leashed (check local ordnances) or to be under the direct control of their owner. Occasionally, beaches will be closed to dogs to protect wildlife. Be sure to check local signage, and be prepared to clean up – and stay aware of wildlife.
