Cannon Beach Travel
You’re going to have so much fun on your Cannon Beach vacation! After enjoying the delicious food, delightful shopping, and fun things to do, you’ll rest comfortably in one of many Cannon Beach hotels, inns, bed and breakfasts, or campgrounds. If you’re on a budget, don’t worry; you can rest easy knowing that the range of Cannon Beach hotels includes many unfussy, affordable options with barebones yet comfortable amenities. However, if you’re looking for posh, you’ll find hotels with high-end amenities like oceanfront views, saltwater pools, spas, fireplaces, golf courses, tennis facilities, and hot tubs. Many of the Cannon Beach inns and hotels are locally owned, but you’ll also find some of the familiar national names as well. Local bed and breakfast inns offer the chance to meet the local owners and staff as well as your fellow visitors in an intimate atmosphere. If you prefer a more outdoorsy experience, Cannon Beach campgrounds and RV parks offer just what you’re looking for, some with more amenities than others. Camping on the beach in Ecola State Park is a favorite local activity, but be sure to reserve your spot early.
Choosing Accommodations and Hotels in Cannon Beach
Cannon Beach oceanfront hotels with views of the Pacific Ocean and Haystack Rock are an option, and those that aren’t directly on the oceanfront are typically only a block or so away. You’re probably already aware of the fact that the closer a room is to the ocean, the higher the nightly rate. If you’ve got your heart set on an oceanfront room, keep in mind that the rates for those rooms drop significantly in fall, winter, and spring. Another thing to keep in mind about Cannon Beach hotels is that the north and south areas of town have a different vibe, the north being busy and commercially oriented and the south being quieter and focused on the beach.
