Astoria Yacht Club’s Winter Education series continues with a presentation by Steve Rich of Englund Marine 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7 at the Yacht Club room upstairs at 300 Industry St., in the West Boat Basin.

Rich’s years of experience at the electronics counter of Englund Marine gives him unique insights into this changing field. He will give an update on the current state of the art for marine electronics and a preview of the things he sees for the future, followed by a Q&A session.

Should the government shutdown be resolved by then, Lt. j.g. Dylan Finneran will also lead a presentation on the Coast Guard’s communications abilities and procedures.
