Discover bats, spiders and owls at Fort Clatsop

- Learn about bats, spiders and owls in free park ranger-led tours starting 6 p.m. Friday at the Fort Clatsop Visitor Center.
ASTORIA — Lewis and Clark National Historical Park is holding its 14th annual “Bats, Spiders, Owls — Oh My!” event, with free tours on Friday starting from the Fort Clatsop Visitor Center.
Park rangers will be stationed at three stops on a 1/4-mile walk to present information and tell stories about these three nocturnal creatures. Tours will run every 20 minutes, starting at 6 p.m. The last tour starts at 7:40 p.m.
Attendees are asked to bring a flashlight and wear sturdy shoes. Halloween costumes are welcome.
