Jad Abumrad is a producer, composer and the creator of Radiolab, a syndicated public radio program.

ASTORIA — The Liberty Theatre welcomes Jad Abumrad, a radio host, producer and composer, for an event at 7 p.m. Monday.

Abumrad is the creator and former host of Radiolab, a public radio program, and has produced a variety of documentary series and podcasts, including “More Perfect” and “Dolly Parton’s America.” He also hosts a radio show on Apple Music.

His documentaries have explored topics such as the nature of numbers and the evolution of altruism. In 2011, he was honored as a MacArthur Fellow and has received three George Foster Peabody Awards.
