In Seaside, the Pacific Power Parade of Lights will return at 7 p.m. Friday with floats that pay tribute to holiday movies. The parade will be followed by a lighting of the Seaside Christmas tree, and the evening will be rounded off with caroling, refreshments and an opportunity to meet Santa Claus.

On Saturday, a holiday lighting and celebration in downtown Astoria will feature a 4:30 p.m. performance at the Liberty Theatre by the Astoria Conservatory children’s chorus.

A speech will be given by Mayor Sean Fitzpatrick and Santa Claus will make an appearance courtesy of the Astoria Fire Department. Free cocoa will be offered by The Rusty Cup and vanilla shortbread cookies made by Gathered Bakeshop and Market.
