- Mick Alderman and Gigi Chadwick appear in the Ten Fifteen Theater’s production of “An Interview” by David Mamet. The play, first staged in Astoria last fall, is being revived for a drama competition.
ASTORIA — The Ten Fifteen Theater in Astoria is hoping to earn recognition with the American Association of Community Theatre. As part of this process, one performance of “An Interview” by David Mamet will be staged 4 p.m. Friday at the theater.
The show first ran in September and was directed by Ryan Hull with Olivia Johnston as stage manager, featuring actors Mick Alderman and Gigi Chadwick. The plot features a sleazy lawyer, played by Alderman, who is forced to answer difficult questions about his life and career.
Proceeds from the Astoria performance will go toward travel expenses for the cast and crew to AACTFest’s regional theater contest at Gallery Theatre in McMinnville on March 17 and 18.
Adjudicators from the national group will view the Astoria performance. The public is invited to attend and tickets are $20, on sale at www.thetenfifteentheater.com.
Should the show be selected to advance further, the troupe will bring the production to the national AACTFest event in Kentucky in June.
