Hear music from the Fireside Social Orchestra at the Birkenfeld Theatre.

CLATSKANIE — Hear Christmas music from the late 19th and early 20th centuries performed by the Fireside Social Orchestra during a 3 p.m. Sunday concert at the Birkenfeld Theatre.

Using historic instruments, the orchestra will perform familiar Christmas carols in their original forms, including “It Came Upon the Midnight Clear,” “We Three Kings” and “Jingle Bells,” as well as carols from the English, Scottish and French countryside.

The concert will feature Phil and Gayle Neuman of The Trail Band, Laura Kuhlman and Cindy Markham of The Oregon Renaissance Band, cellist Elizabeth O’Connor and cornetist Mark McCormick.

This performance is presented by the Clatskanie Arts Commission. Tickets are $25 for adults, $23 for seniors and students and $20 for children, available at www.clatskaniearts.org.
