Friends concert to feature Drury, Ydstie, Barker

- Drury, Barker and Ydstie are set to perform on Saturday.
ASTORIA – Friends, a trio composed of David Drury on guitar, Shelley Loring Barker on flute and Luke Ydstie on bass, will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Charlene Larsen Center for the Performing Arts.
Each of the group’s members come from extensive musical backgrounds, including in the trio Equinox, for Drury in the Phoenix Symphony and for Ydstie as a member of indie folk band Blind Pilot.
Barker has performed with numerous orchestras and ensembles, and teaches at the Astoria Conservatory of Music. The show will feature compositions by Drury.
