Oyster Crackers to perform Sunday

ILWACO, Wash. — The Oyster Crackers will host a concert 2 p.m. Sunday.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Peninsula Players, the Ilwaco-based theater troupe whose members perform at the River City Playhouse.
The Oyster Crackers are Rita Smith, Bette Lu Krause and Christl Mack, Long Beach Peninsula musicians who all sing and play multiple instruments. They have been joined in recent public appearances by cellist Phyllis Taylor, who is now a member of the group.
The concert is going ahead amid continuing coronavirus restrictions. Seating will be limited to 50 people and ticket reservations are required.

“We ask that everyone wear a mask,” Smith said.
The Oyster Crackers’ CD, “Home-Grown Pearls” will be available for purchase. It features 14 original songs by Krause and Smith. The concert will be held at the playhouse, 127 Lake St. S.E., in Ilwaco, Washington. Admission is $10.
