Concert to be held in Naselle

NASELLE — Carl Wirkkala’s new band, The Whistle Punks, will perform at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday in the Naselle Community Center, 14 Parpala Road.

Travis Boggs, a local caterer, will sell hot dog and cheeseburger combos for purchase starting at 5:30 p.m. Tickets for the concert will be available at the door. All are welcome to attend and masks are optional.

Wirkkala is from Castle Rock, Washington. He enjoys writing songs based on the stylings of Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings and Bob Dylan. Several of his songs detail scenes from the different regions in southwest Washington. He has been writing and performing for the past 20 years. He has released eight studio albums, and has another album on the way.
