Astoria art residency program seeks applicants

ASTORIA — Astoria Visual Arts is seeking applications from local artists interested in participating in its gallery residency program from July 1 to Dec. 31. The application deadline is Saturday at astoriavisualarts.org/ava-air

The selected artist will work in a rent-free studio above the Astoria Visual Arts Gallery. The residency program is “designed to encourage the creative, intellectual and professional growth of local artists.”

Artists who have applied previously are encouraged to reapply with an updated portfolio and statement reflecting updates.
