NEHALEM — Duffy Bishop and the Duffy Bishop Band plays Nehalem’s North County Recreation District Performing Arts Center at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8.
Bishop is a force of nature: a powerful blues blaster, a sultry soul singer, a presence who connects with her audiences in a deeply personal way.
Based in Portland and St. Augustine, Fla., Bishop has shared the stage with music legends such as John Lee Hooker, Etta James, Gatemouth Brown, Lou Rawls, Bonnie Raitt and Bo Diddley. Bishop is a member of the Cascade Blues Association and the Washington Blues Society Hall of fame, and was inducted into the Oregon Music Hall of Fame in 2016.
