There will be an exhibition of new artwork, artist demonstrations and an outdoor Raku firing.
On Friday, April 6, the studio will be filled with artists working on a variety of projects. There are mugs made by artists, so visitors can purchase one. All weekend, jewelry artist Sandra Lill will hold a trunk show with special pricing.
From 5 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, everyone is invited to an artists’ reception. Come meet our artists, and from 6:30 to 7 p.m. the local trio Oystercrackers will perform.

Saturday, April 7, will be an art-filled day. There will be a Raku firing with our new kiln. Interested people can purchase a pot to glaze from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Raku firing will run from 1 p.m. until all pots are fired.
Meanwhile, there will be artists demonstrating in the studio. From 1 to 4 p.m. you can see Lisa Mattfield working on a new “yarn bomb” and Taylor Marie Baker showing her glaze techniques as she creates pet portraits.
From 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 8, owner and ceramic artist Sue Raymond will demonstrate her whimsical birds and other creatures.
Bay Avenue Gallery’s goal is to support local art and artists. The gallery represents about 50 local artists, and the studio is busy four or five days a week. In addition to exhibitions, Bay Avenue offers art classes for children and workshops and open studio gatherings for teens and adults. Our studio is equipped for ceramics, but we have painting, drawing and mosaic classes.
