Glass bead artist shares her talents at M & D Designs

CHINOOK, Wash. – M & D Designs hosts guest artist Patricia Frantz Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 25 and 26. She will be teaching a two-day class in Advanced Dichroic Glass and Metal Foils Lampwork Bead Making.
Frantz is a graduate of California State University, Long Beach. She received a bachelor’s degree in general art and went on to obtain a master’s degree in sculptural ceramics with an emphasis on color theory.
She attended Pilchuck Glass School for two summers, which introduced her to working glass with a torch. Her work has been exhibited in the United States, Denmark, Sweden, Italy, Finland, England and Japan.
Frantz lives in Washington state with her husband Mike, who operates Frantz Art Glass.
Examples of Frantz’s work and techniques have been published in many glass and bead periodicals, major books covering glass beads and technical reference manuals for torch work.
