Fort George lets the houndogs in

Erik “Howlin’ Houndog” has been around the Seattle music scene for a long time. He got his nickname from his harp-playing style, that is said to make dogs howl. His musical career began in the 1980s and soon after he formed the label Vagrant Records of Seattle. He has played in various bands over many years, including the Bassics/MonGrells, the Surrealists, the Long Faces, Pistol Pete and Monkeys With Machine Guns. He has developed his own style of musical composition which has been influenced by Middle Eastern music to blues, psychedelia, surf, folk rock and country music.
