ASTORIA — The Oyster Crackers will play a set of folk harmonies at a 7 p.m. Friday concert at KALA.

The group formed in 2018 as a trio, made up of Rita Smith, Christl Mack and Bette Lu Krause on guitar, fiddle and mandolin. In 2021, they became a quartet with the addition of Phyllis Taylor on cello.

That same year, they recorded their first group of original songs, in an album titled “Home Grown Pearls.” Another collection is titled “Home Planet.”
