MANZANITA — Hoffman Center for the Arts is seeking submissions for the Neahkahnie Mountain Poetry Prize.

Writers with a connection to the North Coast are invited to submit poems on any subject, written in 30 lines or fewer. A biographical note showing a local connection should be included.

The winning poet will win a cash prize and will be featured online and in the Hoffman Center’s April newsletter. The top three poems will also be featured at an April 14 reading.

This year’s contest judge is Logan Garner, winner of last year’s prize. His first poetry collection, “Here, in the Floodplain,” was published by Plan B Press last year.

The deadline for online submissions is Jan. 31, winners will be notified in March. There is a $7 entry fee. The contest will be limited to the first 50 poets who submit. For details, visit www.hoffmanarts.org.
