Congressional Art Competition open to regional students

High school students within Washington state’s 3rd Congressional District, which includes Pacific County, are invited to submit one piece of original artwork for a Congressional Art Competition.

Winning artwork will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year and on the competition’s website. A first-place winner will also receive two paid round-trip tickets to a national reception in Washington, D.C., in June.
Submissions must be created by a single student and should be no larger than 26 by 26 inches when framed. Artwork must be original in concept, design and execution, and may not be computer or AI-generated. Paintings, drawings, collages, prints, photographs and mixed media will be accepted.
The deadline to submit is April 29. Winning artwork will be selected by a panel of regional arts leaders. For more on entry requirements and to submit artwork, visit www.gluesenkampperez.house.gov/congressional-art-competition.
