SEASIDE — Registration opens Friday for the 42nd Seaside Beach Volleyball Tournament, which will take place between Aug. 8 and Aug. 11.

The tournament is organized by the Seaside Chamber of Commerce and will include doubles and quads in junior and adult divisions, grouped by player experience level. There will also be a parent and child division.

Founders Joe Hart, Steven Hinton and Debbie Hauger first organized the tournament as a single-day event in 1982. According to organizers, it has grown to include more than 200 courts and over 1,600 teams.
