Crafted in Seaside, 530 Broadway
Featuring handmade items from more than 30 local artists and makers, curated by Dawn Fujiwara-Pavlik.
This store also has a creative studio that lets visitors use their designs to make tumblers, puzzles and canvas art paintings. It also represents AJ Wahl’s beach-themed resin necklaces and jewelry. The gallery offers paint and sip classes.
Fairweather House and Gallery, 612 Broadway
This gallery will present “Free Spirited,” a spring exhibit featuring local artists from Seaside and Gearhart.
Artist Cherry Harris will showcase her journey in textiles with pieces saturated in bright colors, multimedia layering and embroidery, while Cicely Gilman will show patterns of hand-painted silks made using salt and alcohol. Sharon Kathleen Johnson will offer impressionistic work and oil painting and Robin Labadie Montero will display textile sets.
Pacific Heirloom Art and Collectables, 608 Broadway
This location will feature authentic glass floats from around the world. Fishermen have used these floats since the 1700s with fishing nets. Most floats will show signs of use and impurities. Many are shades of green, however clear, amber, aquamarine, amethyst, blue and other colors were also produced. The most prized and rare color is a red or cranberry hue.
Rooted Art Gallery, 810 Broadway
This gallery features the woven art of gallery co-owners Alysia Love and driftwood sculptures by Erin Paysse, both lifelong artists who began collaborating in 2021. The gallery also shows pottery, watercolors, oil paintings, wooden bowls and other works by regional artists.
SunRose Gallery, 606 Broadway
Welcoming new artist Laura Jacobson and her fanciful clay dioramas into the gallery. Originally from Southern California, she cites her influences as “Hollywood, the theater and Disney.”
As a Seaside resident, she is influenced by the local coastline and surrounding mountains. This location will also feature inspirational messenger dolls by Jan Barber and natural stone mosaics by Kath Jones.
TigerLily Gallery, 613 Broadway
Presenting work by Dimensional Diva Design, a design team that creates art, lighting and coastal home decor. Using upcycled materials, found objects and natural elements, the work is multidimensional and often features handmade paper and resin components.
