Ambient music trio Ann Annie is playing 7 p.m. Saturday at KALA.

ASTORIA — KALA is welcoming Portland-based ambient trio Ann Annie for a concert with opener Amos Heart at 7 p.m. Saturday.

Ann Annie is the project of composer Eli Goldberg, who plays acoustic piano and modular synth, along with Blu Midyet on saxophone and Kate Koller on cello.

Together, their performances create ethereal, sometimes improvised chamber music mixed with atmospheric soundscapes.

Opening for the trio will be Portland singer-songwriter Amos Heart. The two groups have collaborated on each other’s albums and were both honored recently by Willamette Week as best new bands in Portland.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. This show is for ages 16 and over. Tickets are $15, available online at kalaastoria.com.
