The Knappton Cove Heritage Center at the Historic Columbia River Quarantine Station will host an open house May 3. It will run from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. with a program at 2 p.m. Admission is free.

The center is at 521 State Route 401, Naselle, three miles upriver from the Astoria Bridge. Exhibits focus on the impact of public health measures, drawing specifics from a 1912 bulletin discovered at the station.

There will be a “pop-up” sale of vintage and one-of-a kind items, with proceeds going toward the museum. Complimentary Life Savers candy will be available (while supplies last).
