Volunteers are asked to meet at the Garden of Surging Waves at 9 a.m. May 3 to help clean up downtown Astoria.

The Spring Love Your Streets program runs until noon. “It’s going to be a big event this year, and we will need as many volunteers as we can get,” said Lyra Stone, one of the organizers. “Help us plant flowers, clean up graffiti, scrape stickers and beautify downtown.”
