The Clatsop County Cultural Coalition has been awarded a three-year renewable $5,000 grant from the Oregon Community Foundation to support increased grant funding for cultural nonprofits in Clatsop County. The grants are distributed annually to projects that support, maintain, preserve and protect cultural programs in the arts, heritage and humanities in Clatsop County.

“This funding will support important work in our community, assisting many cultural nonprofits in the completion of their valuable projects,” said Clatsop County Cultural Coalition co-chairman Janet Bowler. “The coalition receives requests for about three times the amount that we are able to fund during the yearly grant cycle. and we are grateful for this generous additional support.”

The funding included support from Fred W. Fields Fund of the Oregon Community Foundation. The Oregon Cultural Trust is the major funder of the Clatsop County Cultural Coalition, which offers a yearly cycle of grants. Applications are due in the fall.
