ASTORIA — Holiday Friends, an Astoria-based indie rock band, will play a free show at 8 p.m. April 18 in the Liberty Theatre McTavish Room.

The show is part of a 100th anniversary celebration for the historic venue, which opened its doors in 1925 amid a downtown rebuild after the city’s Great Fire of 1922.

In August 2024, Holiday Friends released “Chin Up,” their first single in four years, and have released new music since, including the singles “Everything” and “Stay.”
