Vote for the Readers’ Choice Awards in February

Over the past few weeks, Coast Weekend readers have sent in thousands of nominations for the best of the Columbia-Pacific region’s sights, tastes, arts and recreation offerings in the Readers’ Choice Awards.

Starting Feb. 5, it’s time to put those ideas to a vote.

More than 40 nominees are vying for top spots in some categories of the annual contest. Three that emerge as favorites will be listed in a March issue announcing the winners in more than 50 categories.

There are musicians and museums, lodging picks and local landmarks. As with nominations, readers can vote once for each category as often as once per week through Feb. 28.

New nominees this year include Snow Peak Campfield, honored in 2024 as one of Time Magazine’s 100 World’s Greatest Places, and additions to the region’s dining palette, like Daphne, Seaview Biscuit Co. and Bluebell Bakeshop.

Readers’ Choice votes can be entered on the Discover Our Coast website or in print on a ballot that will be inserted into February issues of Coast Weekend. Readers will be able to vote for any of the nominees listed online. In the meantime, keep entering last-minute nominations by Feb. 4.

Print ballots can be mailed to The Astorian, 949 Exchange St., Astoria, and must be postmarked by the voting deadline. Last year, more than 50,000 votes were collected. Share your voice and help choose this year’s favorites.
