North Coast Chorale sings with ‘White Christmas’

Members of the North Coast Chorale will lead a special sing-along showing of 1954’s “White Christmas” 7 p.m. Friday at the Liberty Theatre.

ASTORIA — The North Coast Chorale will lead audiences in song during a special showing of “White Christmas” 7 p.m. Friday at the Liberty Theatre.

The community choir will first perform in the lobby before joining in with the film on classics like “The Best Things Happen When You’re Dancing,” “Snow,” “Sisters,” and  “White Christmas.”

The 1954 movie, directed by Michael Curtiz, stars Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney and Vera-Ellen, and features the songs of Irving Berlin.

Lyrics will be embedded on-screen as the movie plays. Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 12 and under, available at www.libertyastoria.org.
