SEASIDE — A ceremony on Saturday morning will mark the 83rd anniversary of Japan’s attack on Pearl Harbor.

American Legion Post 99 is sponsoring the event, which starts at 9 a.m. Saturday. Mayor Steve Wright is expected to read a proclamation.

This year’s featured speaker will be R.J. Marx, a local author and former editor of the Seaside Signal. Refreshments and cake will be served.

The ceremony will conclude with the laying of a wreath at the Pearl Harbor Memorial Bridge. For more information, visit www.seasidepost99.org.
