Featuring local artist Cindy Bricca with functional art inspired by the coast. Working in wood and resin, she creates charcuterie boards, Lazy Susans, trays and tables.

Epoxy resin, safe for use with food, protects the wood from scratches and stains and provides a glossy finish. Fractal burning techniques and embedded shells and flowers provide an extra touch.

Stop by Bricca’s studio to learn about custom designs and classes, plus enjoy snacks and bubbles.

The Station, 3427 U.S. Highway 101

The Station, located in a vintage gas station on U.S. Highway 101, provides a creative space for artists Janelle Baglien and David Savinar to paint and show their work.

Known for fun openings and raucous conversation, the studio will feature new work by Baglien. Her latest mixed media work uses vintage photos of early 20th-century beach life in Gearhart with acrylic paint and handwritten poetry.

On Saturday, Baglien will demonstrate the process of transferring vintage photos to canvas and painting in an “unearthed” style around them.

Meanwhile, Savinar will exhibit drawings and paintings that feature a fun style reminiscent of The New Yorker magazine artwork. He is known for his portrait work which captures the essence of personality in a gestural and colorful style.

Tj Lev is the featured artist for November at Trail’s End with “Season’s Shenanigans.” The show opens with a Saturday reception.

Lev recognized that being a featured artist in the fall was an opportunity to explore all her favorite season’s things. Birthdays — hers and her children’s — plus Halloween, Day of the Dead and Thanksgiving, fall leaves, crisp air, pumpkins, apples and sunflowers.

Her creativity took her through childhood memories, memories of her children and family gatherings. For this show, she celebrates memories of those favorite fall things in acrylic paintings, art dolls, cards and slow stitching.

“Season’s Shenanigans” will be on display from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekends through Dec. 1.
