Seattle comedian Adam Pasi performs at the Liberty Theatre’s North Coast Comedy Night 8 p.m. Saturday.

ASTORIA — This week, the Liberty Theatre will host a pair of tribute bands and the latest installment of North Coast Comedy Night, a series that has brought guest comedians to Astoria from around the Pacific Northwest.

At 7:30 p.m. Friday, North Coast Records will present a show featuring Budokan, with music from the late 1970s albums of Cheap Trick, with Texas Tribute, playing ‘70s and ‘80s music by ZZ Top.

General admission tickets are $25 in advance or $29 on the day of the show. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

At 8 p.m. Saturday, host Drew Wilson-McGrath will welcome Northwest comics Adam Pasi and David Tveite to North Coast Comedy Night.

With accolades like being voted Portland’s Funniest Person in 2019 and 2020 and features on “Don’t Tell Comedy” and PBS’ “Roots of Comedy,” Pasi brings audiences along as he picks apart the absurdities of life.

Tveite, who has appeared on NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” and performed at festivals across the country, draws from a keen sense of the absurd. His material is described as “clever, self-deprecating and cheerfully pessimistic.”

Admission is $10, limited to ages 18 and over. Tickets to Liberty shows are available at the theater’s box office or at www.libertyastoria.org.
