Attendees of Saturday’s Liberty Gala fundraiser will have an early chance to purchase tickets to see David Sedaris at the Liberty Theatre in May 2025.

ASTORIA — Attendees of a fundraising gala at the Liberty Theatre will have early access to purchase tickets to see comedian and author David Sedaris when he returns to Astoria on May 11, 2025.

The Liberty Gala at 5 p.m. Saturday, which raises funds toward performances, children’s programs and preservation of the historic venue, will be themed “Heart of Astoria.”

A gala reception will feature canapés by chef Chris Holen on the Liberty stage, accompanied by soulful tunes from the Ilwaco High School Jazz Combo. Afterward, a live auction will offer exclusive raffle baskets and game prizes.
