Tillamook County artists open studios for Hoffman Center tour

Ron van Dongen, whose photographs often focus on flowers, is one of the artists featured by Hoffman Center for the Arts on Saturday’s Artist Studio Tour.

MANZANITA — More than a dozen artists from across north Tillamook County are opening their studio doors for a tour organized by Hoffman Center for the Arts.

The self-guided tour between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. Saturday includes locations in Manzanita, Nehalem and Wheeler. One is the Nehalem Bay Pottery Studio, where a handful of artists will be showing their work.

Others include Huckleberry Farm Studios, the workspace of artist Deborah DeWit, and the sculpture studios of MJ Anderson and Christopher Belluschi.

Other artists on the tour include Justin Bailey, Nancy Bond, Ron van Dongen, Cathi Howell, Danielle LaRae, Lloyd and Judy Lindley, Rae and Mark Mahaffey, Mary Roberts, Laura Ross-Paul, Levering Thomas and Sherrie Wolf.

Tour wristbands will be available between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saturday at the Hoffman Center, priced at $30 for adults and $10 for ages 10 to 18. Children under 10 and pets are not allowed on the tour.

A booklet with directions to the studios and information about the artists is included with wristband purchases, which can be made in advance at www.hoffmanarts.org.
