The northern tip of the Long Beach Peninsula will host more than 25 artists this weekend.

The annual Oysterville Schoolhouse Artisan Fair runs 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free.

The event features peninsula artists showcasing pottery, garden art, upcycled art, fiber art, jewelry, glass mosaics and handmade cards.

Also shown will be paintings, prints, art T-shirts, metal art, stained glass, handmade soaps and bath products, wind chimes and woodcarvings.

“It’s a small-town, low-key, community fair in a special setting. Come and join in the fun,” said Bette Lu Krause, one of the organizers of the event.

Music is planned for all three days.

On Friday, Millionth Street plays at 11 a.m., followed by Steve Frost at 1:30 p.m. On Saturday, hear from Barnet Perrine at 11 a.m., followed by the Peninsula Guitar Trio at 1:30 p.m. Sunday concludes with Bruce Mihalek at 11 a.m. and Marion DiCicco at 1 p.m.

Refreshments will include hot dogs, chili dogs and a bake sale, thanks to Donna Reynolds, who runs the kitchen with a crew of volunteers from the Lions Club.

Krause said parking is limited. “Please park as far away from the field as you are able and leave the close-in places for our guests with less mobility,” she said.
