Three Northwest authors to read at Time Enough Books

Shawn Wong is a University of Washington professor who has written two novels and edited several literary anthologies.

ILWACO, Wash. — Three Northwest authors — Jane Wong, Erin Malone and Shawn Wong — will read and discuss their latest works at 1 p.m. Saturday at Time Enough Books.

Jane Wong is the author of the memoir “Meet Me Tonight in Atlantic City” and the poetry collections “How to Not Be Afraid of Everything” and “Overpour.” She is an associate professor at Western Washington University and has been the recipient of several fellowships and residencies, as well as a Pushcart Prize.

Malone is the author of “Site of Disappearance,” a finalist for the National Poetry Series, “Hover” and the chapbook “What Sound Does It Make.” She has been the editor of Poetry Northwest and taught at the University of Colorado, the University of Washington and through Seattle Arts & Lectures’ Writers in the Schools.

Shawn Wong is the author of two prize-winning novels, “Homebase” and “American Knees,” and has edited six Asian American and American multicultural literary anthologies.

He is a humanities professor at the University of Washington, where he has directed the University Honors and Creative Writing programs and chaired the English department.

In 2019, he started Shawn Wong Books, a series with the University of Washington Press, dedicated to publishing classic and new Asian American writing.
