- “Anchorage at Gipsvika” by Harley Cowan was featured in the “Analog Forever” exhibit last year at LightBox Photographic Gallery.
ASTORIA — LightBox Photographic Gallery is seeking submissions for an exhibit that demonstrates how analog processes have merged with contemporary technologies in photography.
The gallery’s “Analog Forever” exhibit, which opens on Aug. 10, will be juried by Analog Forever Magazine editor-in-chief Michael Kirchoff.
Through July 1, the gallery is inviting artists to submit work for the exhibit that includes an analog element, whether that’s starting in an analog medium or presenting a final piece as a photo-based analog process print.
The exhibit, which the gallery also hosted last year, is open to photographers working in any style or medium. Examples include platinum prints, cyanotypes and lumen prints.
To submit images, email a completed entry form and up to five images for an entry fee of $40, or 10 for $60, to submissions@lightbox-photographic.com. Artists will be notified by July 9 if their work has been accepted. For full details on how to submit and present entries, visit www.lightbox-photographic.com.
