SEASIDE — An annual show of classic and muscle cars returns this weekend with a cruise to Cannon Beach and display along Broadway.

The Muscle and Chrome car show is open to vehicles from 1979 or older, along with newer factory performance models.

Registered cars will meet at the old Seaside High School on Friday before departing along U.S. Highway 101 to Cannon Beach, where police will escort the group along Hemlock Street.

On Saturday starting at 8 a.m., Broadway will be closed to traffic for a “Show & Shine” event, with cars lined up through the afternoon and live music from the Dick King band between noon and 4 p.m.

At 4:30 p.m., cars will cruise to the Seaside Turnaround, followed by a 6 p.m. ceremony where a new people’s choice award will be given. After the awards ceremony will be a showing of “The Cannonball Run” at Sisu Brewing Co. in the Times Theatre.
