Songwriting duo Adams & Costello will close out the concert series on Sept. 19.

CANNON BEACH — On Thursday, the North Coast bluegrass group Floating Glass Balls plays the first week of a free summer concert series at Cannon Beach City Park.

The Buskers in the Park series at Second and Spruce streets kicks off at 5 p.m. with the Cannon Beach-based group, who are regulars at Bill’s Tavern & Brewhouse.

The series continues from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Thursdays through Sept. 19, with Small Town Bluegrass on June 20, The Cider Janes on June 27, Josh Cole Band on July 4, The Horsenecks on July 11, Scott, Bailey & Ross on July 18 and Brightwell & Moran on July 25.

August starts with blues and Americana guitarist Lloyd Jones on Aug. 1 and continues with folk group Fox & Bones on Aug. 8, multi-instrumentalist Lauren Sheehan on Aug. 15, maritime bluegrass band Brownsmead Flats on Aug. 22 and singer-songwriters Mike and Carleen McCornack on Aug. 29.

In September, hear roots rock from the Bruce Thomas Smith Band on Sept. 5 and “Uncle Jerry” with Mike Corry, Dave Quinton, Larry Aldred and Brian Teal on Sept. 12 before the series closes on Sept. 19 with Cannon Beach songwriting duo Adams & Costello.
