College opens show of faculty art

ASTORIA — Clatsop Community College faculty members will pair with local practicing artists for an exhibit that opens at the college’s Royal Nebeker Art Gallery with a reception at 6 p.m. Thursday.

Exhibiting faculty include Kristin Shauck, with mixed media, photography and design by David Homer, prints by Ben Rosenberg and ceramics by Brad Menninga and Richard Rowland.

They will be joined by local artists Elise Wagner, an encaustic painter; sculptors P.J. Hollern and Jeremy Furnish; mixed media artist Heather Goguen, painter Nicole Stiver; photographer Tyler Bennink; and Ryan Prochaska, who directs the college’s historic preservation program.

The exhibit will be on display between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, and by appointment on weekends, through May 9. For more information, visit www.clatsopcc.edu.
