LONG BEACH, Wash. — Dale Adkins and Rock Ridge will perform a bluegrass concert at the Peninsula Arts Center at 4 p.m. Saturday.

Adkins plays primarily banjo with the Sisters-based Rock Ridge. As a guitarist, he has toured internationally and played with bluegrass bands throughout the Northwest.

His latest album, “Alone in the Red Room,” departs from high-energy bluegrass to show a fusion of the finger-style guitar played with a flat pick.

Adkins is also co-director and instructor of several music programs. He has also added the mandolin, acoustic bass and banjo to his musical repertoire.

Rock Ridge specializes in bluegrass music with a traditional approach and blues influence, as well as country duets.,
