MANZANITA — In her work, artist Keri Rosebraugh contemplates the interdependence between humans and water, an idea that will carry into a lecture and workshop this weekend at Hoffman Center for the Arts.

Rosebraugh will talk on theories of nature and working with water in art during a 5 p.m. Friday lecture.

In a workshop at 10 a.m. Saturday, students will work together to create a medicine water wheel and, weather permitting, will use saltwater and sand with interpretations of water on paper. In the afternoon, students will make cyanotype prints soaked in water.

Last year, Rosebraugh’s sculpture “Trantler” was permanently installed in the garden of the Royal Nebeker Gallery at Clatsop Community College.

Having spent childhood days on the Oregon Coast, she now resides between Marnay Sur Seine, France and Pasadena, California and has exhibited work internationally.

The cost to attend the Friday lecture is $20, the Saturday workshop is $170. For more details, visit www.hoffmanarts.org.
