ILWACO, Wash. — Author and journalist Kristen Millares Young will lead a workshop on writing family stories at the Columbia Pacific Heritage Museum, offered in both English and Spanish.

At 1 p.m. Saturday, the hourlong workshop will be offered in English, followed by a Spanish language version at 2:30 p.m.

Guided prompts and discussions will help attendees reflect on, plan, write and revise family stories. Participants will leave with new pages. 

This event is offered by the Humanities Washington Speakers Bureau program, of which Young is a member for 2024-25. The program
 focuses on public presentations of history, politics, music, philosophy and spiritual traditions throughout Washington state.
