RAYMOND, Wash. — Tim Connell, a mandolin virtuoso, will perform with Bernardo Gomez, an upright bassist, at the historic Raymond Theatre in a free 2 p.m. Saturday concert as part of the venue’s Sunday Afternoon Live series.

The two performers will carry on “musical conversations,” spanning genres of rock, blues, waltz, klezmer tunes and folk classics.

Both are versatile as musicians, with Connell playing the mandolin, guitar, whistle and adding vocals, while Gomez finds a raft of ways to bow, strum, finger and tap the strings.

This is a free performance, donations are welcome. For more information about the concert series, visit www.sundayafternoonlive.org.
