The North Coast Chorale, a community choir, rehearses at the Charlene Larsen Center for the Performing Arts in Astoria.

ASTORIA — The North Coast Chorale presents “Christmas Oratorio,” by Camille Saint-Saëns, at a winter concert at 7 p.m. Friday and 4 p.m. Sunday.

The chorale will be joined by five guest soloists, including Deac Guidi and Bereniece Jones-Centeno, at the Charlene Larsen Center for the Performing Arts.

They will perform the Latin piece in English, accompanied by a string quintet and bell choir, as well as a collection of German motets by Michael Praetorius. These intriguing polyphonic choral compositions will be sung without accompaniment.
