CANNON BEACH — “Season of Light, Season of Joy,” a set of two winter concerts from the Cannon Beach Chorus, will pair traditional Christmas carols with contemporary music.

The concerts will include pieces by Morten Lauridsen and Ola Gjello and include Norwegian and Spanish influences. The chorus is directed by Roy Seiber and accompanied on piano by Barbara Richmond.

Shows will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the Cannon Beach Community Church and 3 p.m. Sunday at the Nehalem Bay Methodist Church.

Tickets are $15 at the door and free for those under 16. Complimentary coffee and holiday treats will be offered.

Donations are appreciated for the chorus’ scholarship programs, which have awarded more than $24,500 to local graduating high school students who plan to continue choral music in college. For more information, visit www.cannonbeachchorus.org.
