SEASIDE — A weekend of Halloween fun begins with a witches and warlocks stand-up paddleboard event at 9 a.m. Saturday in Quatat Park, sponsored by the Sunset Empire Park & Recreation District.
A lifeguard will be on duty and stand-up paddleboards are available during the event. At noon in Quatat Park, a Halloween carnival with games and activities will follow.
On Sunday, costumes are encouraged in a pet parade, beginning at 10 a.m. in front of The Cookie Jar. Starting at noon, a trunk or treat event will offer candy for kids at the Turnaround.
After trunk or treat, gather for the Seaside Pumpkin Drop, where a 1,000-pound pumpkin will be dropped from a crane into a pool of duck and beaver mascots, which can be purchased for $5 each. For more information about Seaside’s Halloween events, visit www.seasideor.com.
